Debit Orders
ALL clients must be prepared to sign a debit order for monthly payments. Your account will be debited every month for the month in advance. Should you NOT be prepared to do this you will be required to setup a stop order to make payment into our account.
We will not host your site if payment is not received by the 7th of each month (accounts not paid on time will be suspended without warning- a R50 un-suspension fee will be charged in addition to the monthly payment).
By signing the debit order form you agree to all the terms and conditions as laid out in this document. (Debit orders that are rejected by the bank for whatever reason will incur an extra R30 charge in addition to the monthly payment).
Domain Renewals
All domains will be renewed on their anniversary of purchase after payment has been received by the client for the domain. It will be ASSUMED that the client wishes to renew their domain unless they inform us in writing at least 1 calendar month prior to renewal. We take no responsibility for the safety of your hosting server in the event of any acts of God or otherwise. We take no responsibility for the security of your data on your hosting server. We will not host any site that contain pornographic material (in any form), search engines (that encompass more than 2 sites indexed) warez (of any form, colour or shape).
Support
We correspond almost completely via email. So please contact us via email for assistance and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. We do have an emergency telephone number for critical situations, but this will only be given out to clients who require this facility. General response time will be within 24 hours on weekdays and by the end of the following day after a weekend or public holiday. We have also included a Help Desk feature on our website, here you can raise a Ticket as well as track the status of that ticket on-line.
Our Hours of business are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Data Loss
Low Cost Websites cannot be held accountable for any data loss whatsoever during client server upgrades / hardware replacement and / or any other maintenance related issues. Although we do have backup systems in place for most servers, the accuracy or recovery of the data cannot be guaranteed. We urge you to keep at least weekly if not daily backups of your important data at your premises.
General
- All prices quoted Include VAT
- All hosting (whether server, website or otherwise) is to be paid on or before the 7th of every month for the month in advance.
- All hosting payments are to be taken off your account by mandatory Debit Order on the 1st of every month.
- If no payment for hosting is made in advance, Low Cost Websites/Intuit Designs reserves the right to immediately cut and/or suspend all services that such payment relates to- Please refer to Debit Orders above.
- All other payments are 7 days and should no payment be received after such 7days of date of invoice, Low Cost Websites has the right to suspend all services until such payment has been made and reflect within their bank account.
- Low Cost Websites/Intuit Designs does not accept any form of Cheques.
- Credits: Low Cost Websites/Intuit Designs reserves the right to insert a link/button that returns to http://www.lowcostwebsites.co.za / http://www.intuitdesigns.co.za at the bottom of all web pages designed/developed/hosted by Low Cost Websites / Intuit Designs. We guarantee that this link will not affect performance of the hosted site. Removal of this link constitutes a rejection of our Terms and illicits removal from our servers.
- All work done outside of contracts is considered accepted and billed monthly via our timesheet system at a rate of R250.00 VAT INCL or part thereof.
- All invoices are sent via email only.
- No invoices are posted under any circumstances.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it with your company name (and make sure you are the duly authorised representative) and the starting date of the statement and we will email you back your statement as requested.
Development
- Prior to any development commencing a 60% deposit is required. (This amount needs to reflect in our bank account first).
- The source code for all development belongs to Low Cost Websites until all outstanding payments for all development related work is settled.
- NB:The final site / program / development will not be set as live, until the last 40% for all development has been settled.
- Low Cost Websites takes no responsibility for any calculated results of the development or any content thereupon.
- All formulas need to be supplied prior to any development in detail.
- All text for the websites / programs needs to be emailed electronically in DOC, PDF or TXT format.
- All images need to be at least 75dpi and saved as GIF, JPG, TIFF or TARGA formats.
- Only Low Cost Websites staff will have access to the servers.
- Only Low Cost Websites staff has full administrative access to shared hosting servers.
- Should Low Cost Websites find that you are abusing the bandwidth, they may temporarily suspend your services, until such time as the abuse has ceased or will not affect other hosting clients.
- Should Low Cost Websites find that you are using your server for SPAM purposes, they may temporarily suspend or terminate your services, until such time as a written apology follows with a guarantee that this will not occur again.
- The backup of all hosting servers is the responsibility of the client.
- Low Cost Websites will manage the connections to and from the server as well as the Firewall, but it is the client’s responsibility to let Low Cost Websites know what ports need to be opened and closed and the direction and protocols for such ports.
Once Low Cost Websites has finished developing a site or software backend clients will, on request, be given FTP access should there be a need for clients to make their own changes. From the time that clients are given FTP details Low Cost Websites however no longer accepts any responsibility for the functioning of the site or software backend.
Low Cost Websites allows each client a fair usage of 15Mb of Hard Disk Space for their mail accounts.
When a client abuses this facility they will be notified by an automated system once a week. If this is ignored the loss of any emails in your inbox is the client’s responsibility and Low Cost Websites will not be held responsible in any way for the deletion of some or all emails.
Low Cost Websites take no responsibility once the mail has left the server for Virus's, SPAM, Phishing or other SCAM's, even though we use both an Anti Virus and Anti Spam system to attempt to catch all such viruses and SPAM.
Transfers
Low Cost Websites will not accept any transfers of any domains, release any hosted equipment, or perform any such tasks in the interests of the client, until such payment has been received and may at their discretion immediately suspend or terminate the site / email / connectivity, should they believe they will not recover the outstanding amounts.
All accounts as well as hosting (websites, email, connectivity, hosting, etc) requires a minimum of one calendar months notice for cancellation.
Low Cost Websites reserves the right to sell any hosted equipment that is not paid for in full, or if other services are not paid for in full to recover any amounts outstanding to us.
Month-By-Month Hosting Agreements
For all non-signed contracts that Low Cost Websites has with clients, should the client terminate their email hosting, website hosting, or any month-by-month agreement at any time, a one Calendar Month`s notice period is mandatory. The full amount due up to and including the one calendar month`s notice period becomes immediately due.
Low Cost Websites will not accept any transfers of any domains, release any hosted equipment, or perform any such tasks in the interests of the client, until such payment has been received and may at their discretion immediately suspend or terminate the site / email / co-location / connectivity, should they believe they will not recover the outstanding amounts.
All cancellations need to be "in writing" and faxed to (086) 608 0020 along with the reason / termination date and a signature to be considered effective.
Low Cost Websites reserves the right to sell any hosted equipment that is not paid for in full, or if other services are not paid for in full to recover any amounts outstanding to us.
Call Out Charges
- For web hosting clients that are hosted at our hosting facility, the following charges apply as the facility is NOT located at our office premises
- Callout during office hours to problem solve any issues - Normal hourly rate applies.
- Callout after hours to problem solve any issues - Double Normal hourly rate applies.
- Callout to meet a client for any reason - No charge during office hours, but limited to 3 free callouts per month.
- Callout after hours for any reason - Double Normal hourly rate applies.
- Client will be notified if a hosting server goes down by phone (during office hours), email or sms, but no action will be taken unless by instruction from the client.
