What is a CMS, and do I need one?
A CMS or Content Management System is a website design that will allow non-technical users to make minor changes to their website. A CMS is normally based upon WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) User Interface. This makes it very simple for users to add, edit and delete content as well as add hyperlinks, etc.
A CMS is great for businesses who are making changes to their websites on a regular basis. CMS systems are cost effective solutions for those who have an online shop, photogallery and products that are always changing, they can make their own changes without having to phone the developer to do it for you. If you are only going to make changes to your site once a year I would suggest a simple static website, this is a website that does not have a CMS in it.

The majority of the websites we develop are CMS powered, which maens you, the owner of the website have the ability to log-in to an administrators area, and then add, edit, and delete content, images, articles, etc.
This allows you to take full control of all the content on your site, without getting hold of the web designer. It saves you from having to pay a designer to edit and update your site.
